Our Story
In 1999, CEO Star Lee founded Nanshing in Nantong, China. He established the enterprise as a way to bring fashion forward high quality home textiles to a global community. Star has over 15 years of experience shipping home textiles to importers, as well as direct to retailer in the USA, South Africa, South America and the Middle East. Nanshing has long term relationships with weavers and converters in the Zhejiang and Jiangsu province. This relationship offers us reliable, high quality fabrics at a great price.
The Nanshing industrial park is located in Nantong High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. 400,000+ of 600,000 sq. ft. of the facility is built out and running in Nantong. This facility is devoted to cut & sew, packing & shipping, and also has a showroom and office space. The Nantong area is one of the largest home textile production bases in Asia, and one of the strongest economic development zones in Changjiang Delta.
Our Design, Product Development and Sourcing teams in the US and China work wonderfully together, bringing years of experience & expertise to the process. Our US driven design direction with apparel influences, gives us an advantage in the home industry's traditional design process. The large China design team with graphic artists, CAD ability, and original art allows us to leverage the best design between offices. Having design directed or design assisted projects developed with both US and China teams makes Nanshing a strong force.
Quality and standards are very important to Nanshing. In addition to receiving numerous certifications and awards for creativity, performance & quality, we work daily to make sure our product is the best. In-house laboratory testing is completed to determine accurate fabric weight, color consistency, light fastness, crocking and care instructions. We also partner with ITS, SGS, CTL testing labs as required.
Our direct-to-factory business model offers the dual benefits of increased margin and reduced lead time of a factory, with the market knowledge and design experience of an importer. Our understanding and ability to source and develop fabrics with our China weaver partners allows us to leverage successful fabrics and designs across three product categories.
